Is your product truly free? What's the catch?
We completely understand customers who are skeptical of our pricing. But it's true, our platform is 100% free to use. There's absolutely NO hidden fees. As a licensed insurance services business, we receive a commission from insurance companies per enrolled employee. Due to our proprietary technology that was built by people, not AI, we can cover all our costs on commission payments alone. We NEVER charge our customers any per-employee fees or monthly platform fees to access our services.
What is ICHRA?
Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangment, aka ICHRA, is a new type of health benefit made possible by federal legislation in 2019. This new provision enables employers to offer a pre-tax monthly contribution to their employees, which can be spent on any qualified medical expense, including health insurance premiums. OverEasy makes it simple for small businesses to offer an ICHRA health plan (although we prefer the term 'OverEasy Health Plan') without the hassle of administrating a self-funded health plan on their own. Best of all, OverEasy gets paid regardless of which insurance company your employees select (Kaiser, United Healthcare, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.) This allows us to remain completely focused on you: our goal is to help your employees access the best quality health care that meets their unique needs. We have no incentive to prioritize one insurance company over the other. We learn each employees needs, provide the options avaliable, and allow them to decide what feels right.
How does OverEasy handle premium payments?
Each month (typically the 15th), OverEasy will bill you for the total amount of your monthly contributions. OverEasy submits payment to insurance carriers directly using our Fintech platform. You'll never be charged for employees who decline coverage. Only employees who've accepted your health plan will be included on your monthly bill. For example, a small business with 8 enrolled employees and a $500 monthly contribution will be billed as follows: 8 employees x $500 contribution = $4,000 per month Since OverEasy health plans are generally tax deductible, in this example, the business will reduce their yearly taxable income by $48,000 for the year!
What's the difference between OverEasy & group plans?
Compared to traditional group plans, OverEasy Health Plans generally offer more personalization and flexibility. Here are some key differences between OverEasy and traditional group insurance plans: 1. Flexibility: OverEasy offers significantly more flexibility for both employers and employees. Employers can set contribution levels and eligibility criteria, while employees get to choose individual health insurance plans that best suit their needs. In contrast, traditional group plans typically offer a limited number of preselected plans for all employees, restricting their ability to choose coverage that aligns with their individual needs. 2. Cost control: While both plans can help manage healthcare costs, OverEasy provides employers with more control by allowing them to set fixed contribution amounts. Traditional group plans, on the other hand, can be unpredictable due to potential rate hikes, new fees, or changes in cost-sharing. 3. Administration: Compared to traditional group plans, OverEasy dramatically reduces the administrative burden for employers. There's less paperwork involved as employees manage their own plans and claims. Employers do have some responsibility for record-keeping and compliance with ICHRA regulations, however our platform is designed to take as much of the work off your shoulders as possible.
What tax benefits does OverEasy offer?
Employees and employers can benefit from some major tax advantages with OverEasy. The monthly contirbution employees receive toward their individual health insurance premiums are generally tax-free, reducing their overall tax burden. OverEasy contributions provided by employers are generally tax deductable, reducing the business' yearly tax burden.
Can I offer OverEasy in addition to a traditional group plan?
Yes! One of the major advantages of OverEasy is that it can be provided alongside traditional group insurance plans. For example, employers can offer a traditional group plan to full-time employees while offering OverEasy to part-time employees.
